Technical Sales Representative (Remote) – Florida Territory

Isolatek International, the industry leader in the marketing and manufacturing of passive fire protection materials for the construction industry has an immediate opening for a full-time Technical Sales Representative in our Sales & Marketing Department based in Florida.

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and soliciting order for Isolatek International products and services.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales and activity performance numbers that meet and exceed targets
  • Knowledge and understanding of key customers and their business needs
  • Influence of key customers
  • Provide the Company guidance on how to sell within their territories
  • Regular customer visits both in person and phone of video conference
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of customer accounts and contact information to support Isolatek market outreach and promotional programs
  • Expand customer base and evaluate new customer opportunity
  • Perform regular and timely follow up on Specifications, SPRs, and Price Quotations with goal of winning the awards
  • Share feedback from Project and Price Quotation follow up activities
  • Follow through on new opportunity leads
  • Regular and accurate forecasting of projects and order to direct demand planning
  • Mutual action planning – sales planning with customers to ensure growth and attention to Isolatek
  • Mutual pursuit of overcoming objections
  • Jobsite customer support including training, product inspections, troubleshooting, installation guidance
  • Continuous customer application evaluations and continuous improvement
  • Provide contractor-training seminars as
  • Regular Architectural and engineer education promotion through events, online and in person presentations, and promotion of Isolatek online courses.
  • Specification development to include Isolatek in specs at the design stage and bidding stages
  • Local industry organization activity and memberships – example: CSI, AIA
  • Participation representing Isolatek at industry events, tradeshows, and code
  • Knowledge of Fireproofing industry and code requirements, Isolatek and competitor products, and sales positioning – be a resource
  • Understanding of competitors products and market activities
  • Constructive feedback and market insight
  • Provides regular communication to Isolatek – forecasting, project and market updates
  • Spirit of partnership
  • Perform other duties as

Experience & Education:

  • 5 years’ experience in Construction or Building Materials Sales and/or Construction
  • 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills

  • Ability to build strong business relationships with internal and external “customers”.
  • User research/field work skills –must be prepared to plan and lead user research to discover insights firsthand.
  • A self-starter that is always proactively seeking opportunities; are not just reactive that merely respond to customer requests.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interact with customers, working as a collaborator and advisor, with the ability to share your points of view and expertise confidently and credibly.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount interest commissions preparations, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
  • Ability to use a computer (MS Outlook) and other related software (CRM).
