Products: CAFCO® 300 HS, CAFCO 400 & CAFCO FENDOLITE® M-II / ISOLATEK® Type 300 HS, ISOLATEK Type 400 & ISOLATEK Type M-II
The California Department of General Services (DGS) announced that team Hensel Phelps and ZGF partnered with Dreyfuss + Blackford for the 1,250,000 square foot RBOC. The sustainable design solution sets a precedent for the River District. Recognized Applicator Level 5, Inc. installed our CAFCO 300 HS, CAFCO 400, CAFCO FENDOLITE M-II / ISOLATEK Type 300 HS, ISOLATEK Type 400 & ISOLATEK Type M-II Spray applied fireproofing material (SFRM). An area of Sacramento with an industrial past will now become eclectic and desirable business spaces.
CAFCO 300 HS / ISOLATEK Type 300 HS Isolatek’s gypsum-based, Wet Mix SFRM was explicitly selected to provide high bond strength along with exceptional, cost-effective thermal performance. CAFCO 400 / ISOLATEK Type 400, a medium density, Wet Mix SFRM, Portland cement-based formulation that protects virtually any environment with a medium density material, is specified. CAFCO FENDOLITE M-II / ISOLATEK Type M-II High-density Wet Mix SFRM portland cement formulation, thermal performance, proven superior durability, and ease of application. They were specifically developed for spray and trowel applications to protect structural columns and beams in exterior environments and interior applications. In addition to providing industry-leading thermal and physical performance advantages, CAFCO 300 HS / ISOLATEK Type 300 HS, CAFCO 400 / ISOLATEK Type 400, and CAFCO FENDOLITE M-II / ISOLATEK Type M-II also function as a thermal insulator. Each product is particularly effective in reducing heat loss when applied to the underside of a roof deck. The added R-value can contribute to a reduction in roof insulation.
“Town Square”, a central open public space with ground-level landscaped walkways, ties the four towers together. They will be connected by a three-story bridge between the two north towers, with an additional second-level bridge across the Town Square protecting people from the weather. This project has been designed to achieve zero net energy and zero net carbon for the entire site through State-purchased carbon-free green power. The project’s overall structure and placement will allow for future development, and is projected to be completed in March 2024.
